B+S-CBR-12-Black Char Broiler 1200mm

The B+S Black Char Broiler is mounted on an open stand with an undershelf ideal for storing cooking utensils. The cooking surface consists of heavy-duty cast iron grates with special drainage channels, which direct fat to the fat spillage tray located at the front of the unit. A cast-iron hood placed above the 33Mj burners radiates heat evenly across the grates, creating an ideal surface for grilling.

Each burner on our commercial char broilers is fitted with a flame failure safety device, piezo ignition and a multi-setting gas valve allowing for more controlled flame regulation. Frontal access to all components makes maintenance easy.

The B+S Black Char Broiler is available in four standard sizes, and can be combined with our Boiling Tops and Grill Plates to form various configurations to suit your cuisine style.

An Australian, family-owned business

Began manufacturing commercial kitchen equipment in 1956. By the late 1970s, B+S recognised the impact of Asian cuisine within the Australian foodservice industry and started to manufacture ranges to meet this demand.

Over time, B+S designed and developed a product range consisting of over 100 standard units. That being said, standard units are the exception – most units can be modified, or even have whole new specifications made for a particular kitchen.

To help accommodate this, we have split our product offering into three different ranges:

  • K+ range – The entry-level series designed to save space and maximise performance.
  • B+S Black range – Our standard line is a result of 65 years of experience and is essential for the busy kitchen.
  • Verro range – This is where Asian and European appliances meet, offering a solution for high-volume fusion kitchens.

Through ongoing research and development, B+S have developed a patented burner pilot integration system for our Hipac woks to ensure reliable performance. B+S was the first Australian manufacturer to develop and manufacture a complete waterless wok range and has since added waterless steamers, stockpots, and HiPacs.
